Watch Twisted Sister’s Final Performance…

Twisted Sister was the first band I was really “in to”. I had bought posters and taken pictures out of magazines to put on my wall. I knew everyone in the band’s name, what they played and which colour their outfit was. Twisted Sister was my ‘gateway’ band that led to me following Motley Crue, Bon Jovi, Poison, Def Leppard and more. I got the opportunity to work with them in 2006 (I think) when they played at Edmonton’s Klondike Days. I got to hang out with Jay Jay French and Mark Mendoza and will always remember the two joking around about “hitting the big time” because technically Bob The Builder who performed on the same stage earlier in the day was their ‘opening act’

In 2015 we lost Twisted Sister’s long time drummer, A.J. Apero and even though the band had taped Mike Portnoy (Dream Theatre and more) to fill in on drums, most of he remaining member commented on how this would be their last tour. Turns out the final tour rumours were true and on Saturday, November 12 at the Corona Northside Rock Park Meeting Fest in Monterrey, Mexico Twisted Sister played their final show…
