Expanding the “Definitive” Edmonton Playlist

I Heart Edmonton recently published “The Definitive Edmonton Playlist” 35 songs that every Edmonton music lover should know…

Now I do not disagree within any of the songs on this list. In fact I was very impressed with the list. The only comment I’d like to make on it, is that it’s missing some key tracks, some I was really surprised to see missing from the list. I’m sure everyone might argue that in one way or another and seeing how I don’t disagree with any of the tracks that are on the list, I’m just going to share 5 more songs to bring the list up to 40.

Chloe Albert – When The Night Fell (Chloe Albert was nominated for a JUNO and other awards thanks to this track and album)

Social Code – Satisfied (if Ten Second Epic is on the list, Social Code should be on the list)

Big House – Dollar In My Pocket (yes, they were from Edmonton…sure it’s cheesy, but it was in regular rotation on MuchMusic in 1991)

Adam Gregory – What It Takes (also nominated for a JUNO and some Canadian Country Music Awards)

Shelbi – Smooth Whiskey (okay…having worked with them I am a little biased, BUT this song has been described as an anthem for rural Albertans and there’s a lot of rural Albertans living in Edmonton)

Anything else you think should be on the list?
