Scott Weiland (Oct 1967 – Dec 2015) RIP

News spread verily quickly about the passing of former Stone Temple Pilots lead-singer Scott Weiland tonight. Nikki Sixx has reposted a link from Billboard Magazine and not even 10 minutes later after Googling “Scott Weiland” I saw that Wikipedia had already updated their page with to include today’s date for his passing and the majority of the references to him in their right up mentioned him in the past tense.

Over the next couple of days, we will probably hear a lot about Scott’s battles with substance abuse. It will most likely be brought up as a possible cause of death. Hopefully that won’t be all the media will focus on. Scott has contributed a lot musically. Fronting Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver as well as some fairly successful solo releases. Hopefully the media focuses more on the music than the lifestyle.

Hoping to help celebrate the music, I will post some of my favourite Scott Weiland tracks below. Enjoy.

RIP Scott Weiland and thank you!
